As usual, I feel conflicting feelings that seem only to emphasize my oxymoron-like personality. First, ITS SUMMER VACATION! Its something that everyone waits for and wishes would come on swift wings. Freedom. No assignments, or teachers you don't like. Or even students whom you despise. But, this summer has left me feeling empty and at a loss. A dead summer, which I hate. So while summer has its freedoms and benefits, it becomes hell if you fall into a trap as the one I have stumbled into. To hardly see the friends that I know, to not live my life true, to be caught inside this prision of mind and body, it has left me a shell of myself. A pain that I have endured and have not become any wiser to make it worthwhile. I saw on only a few seperate occasions those people that have made my school year a pleasant one. Otherwise, my job has worn away my body, and my house has dulled my mind. I can feel it, and I hate it.
The sound of Jimmy Eat World floods my ears. A Melancholy realm I have stumbled into. I am ready to repair the damage of summer. By being around those who will promise companionship and by sharpening my wisdom and wit I will become once again my true self. So, as I began, school is both a blessing and a curse. I believe it is for everyone, for different reasons. Another example of the conflicting feelings that make up human beings. The oxymoron, a strange but necassary asset of every sentient being.
Also, my birtyday was the 15th. If anyone wants to wish me a belated birthday, I wont be mad that you forgot.

My Dream Job: Check this out folks. I wish the very best for Mark and his lady friend, whatever the situation may be. Honesty is always a good thing to have.

In lighter news, let the world know that Summer of Spies is printed and ready for readers. There should be a marathon that ends on my front door, the winner getting to read it first. It's that good. I have started another literary endeavor, my inspiration being the catlyst that split the human race. I refer to the shattering of the Moon in The Time Machine. I just rented the movie the other day, and was completely thrown off by it. It was stunning! The dynamic passage of Time as viewed from the inside of the machine was some of the best visual effects I'd ever seen. The movie though, deviates from the plot of the original book in many respects. If you have had time to review both, you would understand my statement. This movie reignited my intrest in the so called "impossibilty" of Time Travel. I don't know if it is possible or not, but there will always be those who say that they can prove conclusively either way. Both schools of thought are wrong.

Anyway, my new book, which will not be nearly as long as Summer of Spies, is entitled Moonfall. It follows the destruction of Earth's satellite from the dawn of the Atomic Age all the way to its final hour.

Sorry for going off on a tangent there, I tend to do that. Anyway, if you haven't seen the movie The Time Machine, go see it! Do not underestimate the power of the Impossible.

Two posts by me in one day. They usually don't. I mean I'm fairly bitter about them to be completely honest. You always seem to get attached and then you get burned. Not only burned, but your heart is also broken. That's not good! I told myself that their were no need for girlfriends or anything like them. Then of course I decided to give one girl a chance. It worked and I ran with it. Then it ended. What happened you ask? I chickened out! I was still afraid of getting hurt and still bitter about the last time. So what do I do? I decide to still date this girl and just see what works out. Then I almost completely lose her. How? I decided to have some relations with another girl. I was honest and told the truth and almost lost the first girl. It should have been the only girl. Now everything is better. I realized what I had when I had almost lost it. And that made me want it all the more. I'm pretty sure she still doesn't trust me on some stuff. And to be honest I wouldn't either, but right now she makes me happy and sometimes all it takes is to see her face.

So everyone give me tech points cause I'm using my sister laptop......

Today I worked at the grocery store. People at grocery stores are generally not very happy people. They have to spend that money and it's really not on anything fun. The fatter people may get a kick out of buying more food, but then they are upset because they eat to much food. Mom's are upset because they have kids. They have kids that whine and complain and cry until they get what they want. Since the mom's all seem to be week minded fools the kid gets what he/she wants. Great! Next time they are in the same thing will happen, which means I have to put up with more crying and similar things. Kid's, that aren't super young, are unhappy because they are shopping with their parents. No one really wants to be seen with their parents. So they do their best to look like they are having the worst of times. Teen-agers that can drive are very funny to watch. They are there on their own free will. I mean come on, they and a bunch of their friends drove there. But they aren't cool picking up snacks at a grocery store, so they look down trodden and shify eyed, as if the fashion police or whatever will come and get them. Well anyways....

Today I saw a mom use a very successful method to keep her young boy happy. She let him bring along a GameBoy and play Pokemon or some other useless game. He was walking and playing and not paying much attention. This kid was happy. He wasn't smiling, but he wasn't frowning. He was so engrossed in his game that his mind only focused on the game and on walking. All of his other senses were useless.

Of course this probes my mind. I didn't have a GameBoy when I was younger and shopping in a store and to be honest I didn't whine and complain that much. I was a fairly happy child unless I just wanted to go home. Why do kids no aday think that they need video games to amuse them. Look around! I work there and I find ways to amuse myself at the grocery store. Imagine what they are like at home. The kids don't even have to worry about standing. They can sit in a recliner, relax, and listen to the sounds of fat molecules multiplying. Kids should be more creative in finding things to do. Even if it's (gasp!!) reading, drawing, making web sites, or other activities that involve sitting down. At least they are exercising their minds.

Video games are fun. I played a football video game earlier today. Tamba Bay beat Green Bay 20-3. Now I'm updating a web site that I made. Earlier today I was playing the guitar and I even read some too. Get out and make the people that will one day run our country know less about video games.

Since Mark's computer has bitten the cybertronic bullet, I will have to edit more often for the sake of our dedicated readers, all two or three of them. If you have any recomendations for computers that are a good deal then please email me.

I went to work tonight for the first time in 3 weeks. They will be trying to get the groups to co-operate, so that Saddam Hussein could possibly be removed from power. There is also growing suspision that the U.S. plans to attack Iraq.

I believe that this is a very bad idea. You will all notice very soon that I don't like involvment in the Middle East. We have such a different culture and way of thinking that it is very difficult for us to get along with them. They have trouble getting along with themselves. Having these anti - Suddam groups and showing some support for them makes us look like the all powerful, all knowing, supreme country. When we are not. The people of the middle east will see this only as America trying harder to push into their lives, but they don't want us there. Attacking Iraq does the same thing, only on a bigger scale.

I just got back from vacation and no one else has posted anything! It is lying to me, of course. The clock is several minutes off. At least, I was led to beleve that. It has been rather humid recently here, and cries of anguish resound through the rooms of my house. The only order lies in Bach's Moonlight Sonata, which is currently playing through my speakers. I sense this summer has been a loss. A Dead Summer. At the risk of sounding cynical, though I know I already am, this summer sucks. Is anyone else out there feeling a sense of loss, though you can account for everything you think you have? I know there is more to life than physical matter, the electrons of atoms spinning forever in their orbits, the sheer immensity of the Universe, of which no man can fully comprehend, and the refreshing taste of your favorite flavor of Jell-O sliding down your throat. There is more to life than this. Some would say that there is not, and I speak the truth when I say that they are either lying or too stupid to grasp anything even remotely complex. Sure, atoms aren't the easiest things in the world to understand. All you need to know is that everything at the subatomic level is goverened by probability, at that is that. But anyway, my solemn advice to anyone is simply this: THINK! Anyone at all, let me know if you feel something missing that maybe would make life seem more than that which occupies the physical. I know that this summer is killing me, and I hate it.

Have you ever set some rules for yourself just to keep yourself in check? He's a really cool guy and I got to talk to him some outside of when he was speaking. On a side note he's speaking at the Cornerstone Festival today. So if you're at the festival and accidentally come here, then go and see him and tell him Mark said hi. Alright, so he would give these talks or speeches or whatever at the main gathering times. Any of you people who diss on Christianity because of the hypocrisy invovled then go and talk to this guy. He got 1200 teenagers from Michigan to be fired up to help the poor and needy in other county's. Giving food and love to these people is more important then internal political conflicts. Massive amounts of money were spent after 3,000 people died on Sept. 11th. Little money is spent by our country to help the 30,000 kids who try to commit suicide a year. And even less is spent to save the starving people on our doorsteps. 30,000 people die a day from starvation and malnutrition. As Boy Sets Fire says, "How many starving millions have to die on our front doorsteps?" If you go less then a mile into Mexico you will find starving children. If you go into the inner city of our metropolatin areas you will find starving people. Why can't we show love to those people who are so close to us?

I got back last night from the Michigan District Lutheran Youth Gathering on Mackinac Island. I got to see people that I haven't seen for awhile and hung out with friends that are always a blast to be with. I also got to see how fake some people could be. I know some people acted super cool to me, just to act cool to me. They say they are my friend, but I never hear from them. It's all the people who are hung up on popularity and the coolest clothing styles. It's funny because most of these people don't realize what's going on. They think what they are doing is normal and nothing is really wrong with it. I'd say don't judge me unless you know me, but they do know me. I'm just not cool enough to fit in.

I'm leaving for a few days, so comment a bunch and tell your friends.

So a guy walks into a convience store and pulls a gun out of his pocket. He points it at the attendent and demands money. The guy gets away with a few hundred bucks. A few days later he is actually caught. They put him on trial and he is convicted. He gets time in prison. Now a big time CEO steals millions upon millions of dollars. He says whoops! my bad!. They slap him on the wrist and he apologizes to the public. Meanwhile the company falters. People lose jobs and kids go without food. That seems backwards to me. The guy who robs the convience store gets thrown in jail. The man who robs a company and hurts families, is barely touched. Where is the justice in that? Just cause you have money or you're famous doesn't mean that you can do no wrong. R. Kelley is on trial for child pornography. He pleads innocent! Why? Cause he's famous. They have a box set of movies of evidence against him. But since he's famous he thinks he can get away with it. The rich and famous shouldn't even be able to think that. The justice system should make examples out of them to warn the normal guy off the street.

Decapolis is a cool site. Being nice to the the kids that spend their cash (or parents) on our stuff and our shows is the only right thing to do. Way to cool for their own good. How can you not love the spinning vinyl? The analog is always better then digital. Who needs the perfect sounding digital quality stuff. In music the inperfection is what makes it interesting. Listen to Norma Jean's old stuff. They recorded it to perfection and it sucks. Listen to their new stuff and it's fairly exciting compared to other music, but 100 times better then their old stuff. The little hisses, pops, clicks of the strings, and random wrong notes make the music that much more interesting and maybe even dangerous. The way rock should be anyways.

Looking for some decent music? My name is Mark and I also freely blog over at Buzzgrinder.com (go there now!). I made this for the purpose of ranting and raving on things that I care about. Mostly music, society, politics, and other random things. I hope that this is fairly intelligent and please excuse my bad spelling.
